Pumpkin Patch 2012
Greg took off early so we could take the kids to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch as is becoming tradition. I always request 10min of dutiful picture taking before the kids take off to enjoy the activities. They are usually agreeable to my plan and if not I am not afraid to use bribery. Today no bribes were needed and I got some great pics of the kids with the pumpkins. The favorite activities seem to be the big maze, because they went over and over... They were also fans of the bounce houses and slides, hayride, and wooden characters they could identify. I heard Lex at one point laughing and saying "this is crazy" as she was getting bounced around the bounce slide. Caleb, my little leader, led a group of new "friends" through the winding maze. Overall we had a wonderful time at the Pumpkin Patch.

"Sexy Lexie"
Lexie is in the Early Preschool 3 class at Primrose and loves it. Her best friend is Meredith who is a cute little blonde girl. Apparently Meredith cannot say Lexie though, instead she calls her "Sexy". The teachers told us today that they overheard Lexie trying to correct Meredith.
Lexie: "No Meredith its LLLexie". Mer: "Sexy". Lex: " No, LLLexie". Mer: "SSSexy". Lex: "Oh fine. Lets go." Lol! I love it.

Caleb and School/Lexie's Silly talk
Caleb started off not a fan of school. He would cry and tell me "You can't make me go" the evenings before bed. They have a color system at school on behavior, and he would get below the average green at least once or twice a week which was worrisome to me. He was very tired and whiney about having to get up so early, even though we would try to get to bed early each night. The last few weeks have finally turned around as he gets into a better routine, and learned there a rewards for good behavior and consequences for poor behavior. He tells me now though that he likes to sleep, and rarely gives me trouble at bedtime now. As for Lexie, she loves her new Preschool class. She is talking so much more in fun conversations and loves to "read" us stories every night. The funniest thing I've heard from Lexie recently was "look Mommy, my bottom wriggled when I tooted" LOL! She is shy with strangers, but engages when she warms up to people. So different than Caleb was at that age. I love watching the differences in both my babies as they grow. Parenting is such a gift.
