Easter Cookies

Caleb and I met our neighbors, Donna and Andrew, at the park this morning. We wanted to let them play for a while before it rained. It was nice to see them actually playing together instead of just in the same vicinity. They must be growing up. He wasn't happy when it was time to go, luckily for me it started sprinkling, so he thought it was fun to run to the car in the rain. During nap, I cut out and baked over 60 Easter cookies so we could decorate some when Caleb woke up. Caleb was very excited about decorating cookies, but more excited about eating the final product. I coated a few cookies with icing then let him decide on the sprinkles. We had a good assembly line going. But after each one he would ask, "Now I eat it?" It was finally time to try a cookie. I think he liked it. Here are some of his finished products. I froze a few dozen to decorate when it's actually Easter.Later we went outside for some big wheel lessons. I am trying to get him to pedal and steer at the same time. He's got the pedaling down, but we keep ending up in our neighbors' yards. He crashed at one point, and I was very proud that he didn't give up. Later we did have to go in for a bandaid though.
Here is a picture that Aunt Shae and Aunt Ginger would be proud of! I had the music playing, and Caleb felt the urge to sing and dance. He went into the kitchen for his "microphone" and then sang and danced around the living room, something Shae, Gin, and I did often when we lived together in college.

Ug, I cannot get Teresa to pedal for anything! She'd rather just push with her feet. But, she will ice cookies on her own...

I love the song butterfly kisses, by the way.

Good to see you tonight, I should have brought you that easel, darn it!
