Happy Easter!

We had a nice family weekend. This year we opted to stay home for Easter instead of traveling out of town. Yesterday we woke up late, 8a.m., and so decided it was an IHOP day. After a yummy breakfast, we ran some errands and then Caleb and I headed to the movies to watch Rio in 3D. It was a cute movie, our favorite part of movies is sharing popcorn and candy. Though Caleb looked guilty and said that was junk food when we told Dad about our time at the movie later. I told him occasional junk food is ok.
Then we decorated Easter eggs. Lex tried to eat the eggs, so I gave her an art project to work on instead.
We had so much fun decorating the eggs, we decided Lex and Caleb needed some decor as well. They enjoyed being Easter eggs.
We ended the day having a nice Easter dinner with friends.
Today we got everyone in their new Easter outfits and headed to church to celebrate the Resurrection of Christ. It was a wonderful sermon, and we were reminded of how blessed we truly are. While we were at church, the Easter bunny visited us and left wonderful gifts as well as lots of hidden eggs.
The kids did awesome hunting for eggs. Lex is already a pro.
She was to get all the eggs in the grass, and Caleb could get all the others.
So he was upset when Lexie got an egg from the slide. They worked it out and everyone had lots of fun treats. Daddy really liked Lexie's hat.
