Happy Sunday!

We woke this morning to "A,B,C,D,E......Z" over the monitor. Caleb went to bed right at 8pm last night since we had such a tiring day, and he woke in a really good mood. Mom and Dad went to bed late last night, so we weren't as energized. Caleb was singing and laughing and of course jumping on our bed. We eventually made our way downstairs at his insistence for breakfast and cartoons. Recently Caleb has been saying "no church" every time we get in the car to go somewhere, which makes me sad. I want him to enjoy church, but there has been some transitioning with childcare and services and there seems to be a new group of people every week. He cries when we make him stay, though he seems ok when we pick him up. That being said, today Greg and I decided to go separately to church so Caleb could just stay home. It worked out great I think. While daddy was at church, we hung out with our friend Andrew on the bike, then at the park. They are so funny. Caleb and Andrew get so excited of the idea of hanging out together, but once his mom, Donna, and I get them together, they ignore each other and do their own thing usually. Caleb borrowed Devin's (Andrew's older brother) helmet to ride his bike. Then at nap time Caleb sung us his rendition of "twinkle twinkle little star"; I guess he was in a singing mood today. Caleb even stayed in a good mood during time out. He continued to tell me "no" to every request today. I gave him a few chances to say yes ma'am, but he preferred "no". So into time out he went. I asked if he was ready to be a good boy and while still in a cheerful voice, he said "no". I eventually just had to let him out of timeout. Tonight Caleb and I played with his puzzle of motor vehicles. I would hold one up, and he would tell me it's name. "Good job" I said after the right answers. Later he held a piece up and said what's that mom. I said "you know what that is", he answered "airplane". Then he held up another piece and asked "what's this", I said "train", "good job mommy". I finally caught on to the game. I have a feeling I'll always be a step behind him.
People have asked me how I lost the baby weight so fast, and how i keep it off. First it was breastfeeding, then it was chasing after a crawling and then toddling baby boy, now it's because he eats my food! One morning last week I gave Caleb his breakfast, and toasted myself a waffle. Caleb decided my waffle looked good i guess. He took my waffle and tore off a piece to give to me. "Here you go mommy" he said then ate both his and my breakfast. Then Friday night I ate a late dinner on the coffee table after Greg and Caleb were already done. Caleb proceeded to eat most of my plate that night too. I guess he is going through a growth spurt.
Clothes or no clothes, we're still practicing baseball most every night.
