State Fair

We went to the state fair for the first time today. It was fun in the morning, but by afternoon it was way too crowded. We met up with friends Sarah, Teresa, and Addison. First was the "circus" where the kids from the crowd became the performers; that was pretty cute. Then off to learn the life of a farmer. This exhibit had the kids dress in aprons and, with their bucket, they went through the "barnyard." Along the way they fed the pretend sheep and chickens, gathered eggs, milked a cow (great-grandpa would be so proud), planted peas in the garden, and even drove a tractor. At the end, they turned in their products and were paid for their hard work. Next we went to see some real animals. Caleb loved seeing the variety of animals. After a snack, daddy and Caleb rode the carousel, then played some games and won a car and a bulldog. We had a successful day. I am so excited about the upcoming holiday seasons; Caleb is finally at an age where he can enjoy all the decorations and get in the spirit of the upcoming events. Caleb helped daddy decorate for Halloween. He loved the bats and the ghost we hung in the web.
Happy Halloween!!!!
