Caleb Thomas Young

On the way out to school I said "grab your coat baby". He said "I not baby, I Caleb Thomas Young!" He continues to repeat his name often these days. I'm so glad he approves of his name. Caleb does such a great job minding his manners. He tries so hard to say the correct thing when appropriate. Yesterday, after he coughed a few times, I asked if he was ok. I guess he thought I was asking him to follow up with a response because he said "um excuse me?, no, bless me." I didn't have the heart to tell him he didn't have to say either since he was putting so much effort in saying the right thing. Tonight Caleb decided he wanted to cook. So he grabbed a few cooking utensils and a cook book. As he flipped through he said "I need to cook a cake mommy." Maybe he'll have more motivation than I to be successful in the kitchen. After dinner, we got bundled up to go look at Christmas lights. He really loved all the wonderful lights and decorations.
