Ear Infection/God

Well Lexie woke with another fever this a.m., and sure enough when I checked her left ear, it was infected again. Definitely time to redo ear tubes. I had to go in late to work so I could get her to the doctor and get medicine in her then hand her off to Greg for the afternoon shift. Thankfully Greg's job allows him to work from home some too. She needed lots of TLC and snuggles today. When I got home, she was already feeling better and enjoying playing with big brother. They have been able to better interact recently. She's a tough cookie. I will get onto Caleb for playing too rough sometimes but then Lexie is laughing at the same time, so it's hard to intervene too often. In fact one evening Caleb was sitting politely on their Elmo couch when Lexie dove on top of Caleb making him topple over. So much for not playing too rough. Haha. Caleb on the other hand continues to surprise me with his philosophical thinking. He often likes to be reminded of how his name was picked from the Bible. Last night he asked, "Mommy, was Caleb from the Bible?" I replied, "yes dear." Caleb: "Was it you favoritist name in the Bible?" Then he paused as if contemplating something and continued with " but I thought you would have named me God." Of course he would think that since God is the most important name in the Bible. I explained that God likes to be the only God, but I don't think Caleb was convinced I made the best choice. What will he come up with next!
