Caleb was very excited about the new season of American Idol starting. He was slightly disappointed by the tryouts needed to be done before the actual singing on stage part of the show. Though he is finally catching on to the point of the tryouts, "do you like that one mommy?, I like that one." He also feels sorry for the contestants that are laughed at, "that's not very nice." He is so right, Simon especially is never very nice. I think Caleb is thinking of writing his own songs to sing. He enjoys making up what ever comes to mind and singing it out. Yesterday he was singing "if you smack someone, that's not a good choice, if you smack someone that's a bad choice." I have no idea where he learned "smack" but he is right, that's a bad choice. It cracks me up listening to him sing everything he thinks. Today was my first day back to work. It wasn't too bad since I only work 1/2 a day on Mondays and Greg kept Lexie at home. My mom is going to keep her the rest of this week, so fortunately I don't have to stress over leaving Lex at daycare until next week. She goes to the doctor tomorrow for her 2 month visit, so I'll let everyone know how much she's grown since her last visit.
She is starting to get a personality, laughing whenever we talk to her. She enjoys playing on her discovery mat and hitting the toys hanging down.
Caleb is such a wonderful big brother.
He loves to make Lexie laugh, and especially enjoys showing her off to every friend or stranger we come across in public. I think she will be plenty spoiled by big brother and daddy. I will have to keep her humble.
I've learned to multi-task with my kiddos; we are constantly working on one project or another. I love being a Mommy!

Andre loves American Idol too. He gets his mic to sing along or try to. I am glad the kids are doing great!!
Isn't it just amazing what you can do with just 2 hands? Hope the first week back went well.
