Let it Snow!

I was able to get off work early today because of the crazy amount of snow. By the time I made it home, Greg had already picked up the kids since daycare closed early too. It took us a while to get my car up the drive way, though I think Caleb enjoyed helping daddy shovel the snow (or throwing snowballs at daddy, while he shoveled the snow). Greg and Caleb enjoyed playing in our very rare winter wonderland. They even made a very cute snowman. Caleb was not happy about having to come inside though and asked "when the snow warms up, can we go back outside?" I didn't explain the results of that happening. As pretty as this rare snow is, I can't wait until it warms up so Caleb can burn some of his "egergy". We signed him up for soccer that starts next month which he says he has been "waiting and waiting for", so hopefully he can put some of that extra energy toward the little black and white ball. He has made a good transition to the preschool 2 class, his teachers seem very encouraging and are super friendly. They said he is having no problems making new friends, imagine that, and is catching on to the curriculum quickly. Unfortunately he did act "disrespectfully" according to Mrs. Rose on Monday. She said he didn't follow directions and then made an ugly face at her. I happened to know what "ugly face" that was since I see it at home too often. Luckily that attitude is rare at school; the next day he got a happy gram stating how helpful and pleasant he was acting. I do hope the four's are easier than the three's. He told me the other day that I was "not his mother anymore", I told him I was sorry to hear that, but you still have to eat all your veggies." Ouch, who'd of thought these words would come at three! Though he continues to struggle with who's in charge, he does have his sweet moments like when he saw my wedding picture last week and said "that's when you were a princess mommy." "When I get older, I'm going to marry you, ok mommy." Lexie on the other hand has been such a sweet baby, no talking back yet thank goodness. She is only demanding when she's hungry. Which lately has been more often if you haven't noticed from her pictures. At her 2mo visit she weighed 12.5lbs and was 23in. She was sporting her new hat today since it was so cold outside.
