Sick Mommy

Well, I am sorry it's been a while since I have blogged. Good news is I am 2 months pregnant. Bad news is I am soooo sick. So I probably won't be writing much until I can actually function again. I was sick when pregnant with Caleb, but not this bad!
I did want to share my conversation with Caleb yesterday on the way home from school. I told him I needed to get gas for the car. He said "but I'm not gassy, and you're not gassy". I said no, but the car needs gas to go. "Oh, the cars gassy? but the car doesn't have a bobo, ....or an ear, or a mouth, or eyes. Cars have wheels." I was very confused, but also amused. I just never know what he's going to say. Constantly entertaining.
He also knows about the baby; he likes to "steal" the baby from my tummy. One day I was lying (or dying) on the couch when he asked me what was wrong. I mistakenly said the baby was making me sick. Caleb suddenly hit me, then said "I spank the baby mommy". I learned not to blame the baby for my condition. Caleb does complain that he needs to throw up alot lately.
Pray that this sickness goes away quickly!
Here is some pics from Easter Sunday, before I went into hiding.

Eggstravaganza

Today we took Caleb to the Eggstravaganza at the Elm Fork Nature Preserve. They started with activities at different stations. Caleb particularly enjoyed using a magnifying glass to examine different animal shells and rocks. We colored, made a rabbit necklace, and an Easter card. We even built bunny ears, which he later wore everywhere we went. Then they told stories, but Caleb preferred to take a walk around the Nature Preserve during that activity. Too much energy I guess. Then finally the Easter Egg Hunt. Caleb was particular about which color eggs he wanted, so he skipped several eggs to find the right ones. Then he sat and enjoyed opening all his eggs and playing with the goodies inside. He compared his goodies with a little girl nearby doing the same thing.
On our way home we saw some wonderful blue bonnets, so we stopped to take more pictures.

Yes, Jesus Loves Me...

Saturday Greg had to work most of the day, so Caleb and I headed to the Zoo. He was very excited, "I see the elephants, and the giraffe, and the hippos." We had a wonderful time checking up on all his animal friends and riding the train. But it did warm up to 80 degrees, and Caleb preferred to be held every few animals, so we were exhausted by the time we were done. Caleb fell asleep as soon as we got in the car, too bad I couldn't. Today we started off with church. Caleb has a crush on one of the little girls who helps watch the 2 yr olds. He turns red and ducks his head to the side looking extremely bashful, then very easily goes into class. She looks around 11-12y.o., and every time we come to pick him up, he's in her arms. At least we know he's getting plenty of attention and having a good time. Today on the way home, he was singing "Yes Jesus loves Me, for the Bible tells me so" over and over. I love it! The rest of the day was uneventful, just hanging out inside since it was cold again. Got to love Texas weather! At dinner tonight Caleb was acting up, so I said "son you need to calm down and eat". I was loudly informed "I AM NOT SUN! I AM CALEB!" Silly me tried to explain what "son" meant, but I was interrupted with "No, the Sun is in the sky mommy."

Caleb was in a much better mood when I picked him up early from day care today. We went for "bubbles" at Fat Straw, imagine that. He has become a very annoying backseat driver. As we came to a halt at a red light he said "is it red, that means stop", but apparently he is impatient so shortly after said, "it's green mom, go" over and over until it is actually green. I just hope I never listen to him and actually go. He often tells me to "watch out for that car" and "go faster!" Even though there isn't really a car to watch out for; his "help" can be very distracting. Here is some photos of Caleb painting. He is very proud of his artwork. Caleb has recently discovered my freckles. "What's that mom", I informed him they were Angel kisses, "Angels?" I told him they lived with Jesus, since he's more familiar with Jesus. A few days later he pointed out my freckles to Greg and told him these were "Jesus kisses". That works for me!
