Hi Everyone!

I am still alive, though some days I wonder. The nausea is still with me on my 12th week of pregnancy, I can just hope it starts to diminish by the 16th as it did with Caleb. The evenings are the worst for me, hence no blogging or further communication with the outside world. So I thought I would try writing a little earlier in the day. I wanted to try to catch up everyone on Caleb's past month. Occasionally I would have the energy to take some pictures, or have Greg take pics to eventually share. I'll start out saying Caleb was really an American Idol fan this season. He asked for it almost every night. I recorded the shows so we could watch it together, and we would argue over which songs we liked. Before the show started he would run and get his "microphone" to sing along and dance during each song. Greg and Caleb were in his cousin's wedding the beginning of May, I stayed behind so Greg's Aunt was good enough to take some pictures. They said Caleb did a great job as ring bearer and loved wearing his new tux. Greg said he had to feed Caleb raisins throughout the ceremony to keep him quiet. Whatever works right. I was very proud of him. He is a great fan of weddings now.
We had another wedding to attend 2 weekends ago for one of my good friends. I actually did ok on that journey. Caleb was very excited about another wedding, but I was worried he thought he was going to be in this wedding too. I explained we were just going to watch, and he said "no I am IN the wedding." He did well though, and didn't run up the isle like I was fearing. We had a wonderful time, especially Caleb who was enjoying all the attention. He was on the dance floor most of the night with all the pretty girls. We made sure to stay in a hotel with a heated pool that weekend so Caleb can enjoy a swim. He was sooo excited, he even told the hotel staff he was going swimming on the way in. This past weekend we found the energy to make it to the Aquarium. We had never been before, it was pretty amazing. Caleb loved seeing all the different creatures. But our favorite was the sharks! We had lunch at Dicks Last Resort afterward since Greg's never been. For those of you who haven't been, the waiters and waitresses are rude to you purposely. It really is amusing, and they really aren't that bad. It was nice to finally get a good family outing again.
Yesterday was my birthday. Unfortunately I wasn't feeling great. Big surprise huh! I told Caleb it was my birthday, he then insisted on coming to my birthday party and wanted to have cake, ice cream and candy. He also wanted to help me "blow out the fire on the cake." I didn't want to disappoint him, so Greg bought some balloons along with the cake and after nap we had our "party." Caleb helped me blow out the candles, and enjoyed playing with the balloons. But after a while he looked around and said "is the party over?" I guess our party can't compete with his usual gigs.

Sick Mommy

Well, I am sorry it's been a while since I have blogged. Good news is I am 2 months pregnant. Bad news is I am soooo sick. So I probably won't be writing much until I can actually function again. I was sick when pregnant with Caleb, but not this bad!
I did want to share my conversation with Caleb yesterday on the way home from school. I told him I needed to get gas for the car. He said "but I'm not gassy, and you're not gassy". I said no, but the car needs gas to go. "Oh, the cars gassy? but the car doesn't have a bobo, ....or an ear, or a mouth, or eyes. Cars have wheels." I was very confused, but also amused. I just never know what he's going to say. Constantly entertaining.
He also knows about the baby; he likes to "steal" the baby from my tummy. One day I was lying (or dying) on the couch when he asked me what was wrong. I mistakenly said the baby was making me sick. Caleb suddenly hit me, then said "I spank the baby mommy". I learned not to blame the baby for my condition. Caleb does complain that he needs to throw up alot lately.
Pray that this sickness goes away quickly!
Here is some pics from Easter Sunday, before I went into hiding.

Eggstravaganza

Today we took Caleb to the Eggstravaganza at the Elm Fork Nature Preserve. They started with activities at different stations. Caleb particularly enjoyed using a magnifying glass to examine different animal shells and rocks. We colored, made a rabbit necklace, and an Easter card. We even built bunny ears, which he later wore everywhere we went. Then they told stories, but Caleb preferred to take a walk around the Nature Preserve during that activity. Too much energy I guess. Then finally the Easter Egg Hunt. Caleb was particular about which color eggs he wanted, so he skipped several eggs to find the right ones. Then he sat and enjoyed opening all his eggs and playing with the goodies inside. He compared his goodies with a little girl nearby doing the same thing.
On our way home we saw some wonderful blue bonnets, so we stopped to take more pictures.

Yes, Jesus Loves Me...

Saturday Greg had to work most of the day, so Caleb and I headed to the Zoo. He was very excited, "I see the elephants, and the giraffe, and the hippos." We had a wonderful time checking up on all his animal friends and riding the train. But it did warm up to 80 degrees, and Caleb preferred to be held every few animals, so we were exhausted by the time we were done. Caleb fell asleep as soon as we got in the car, too bad I couldn't. Today we started off with church. Caleb has a crush on one of the little girls who helps watch the 2 yr olds. He turns red and ducks his head to the side looking extremely bashful, then very easily goes into class. She looks around 11-12y.o., and every time we come to pick him up, he's in her arms. At least we know he's getting plenty of attention and having a good time. Today on the way home, he was singing "Yes Jesus loves Me, for the Bible tells me so" over and over. I love it! The rest of the day was uneventful, just hanging out inside since it was cold again. Got to love Texas weather! At dinner tonight Caleb was acting up, so I said "son you need to calm down and eat". I was loudly informed "I AM NOT SUN! I AM CALEB!" Silly me tried to explain what "son" meant, but I was interrupted with "No, the Sun is in the sky mommy."

Caleb was in a much better mood when I picked him up early from day care today. We went for "bubbles" at Fat Straw, imagine that. He has become a very annoying backseat driver. As we came to a halt at a red light he said "is it red, that means stop", but apparently he is impatient so shortly after said, "it's green mom, go" over and over until it is actually green. I just hope I never listen to him and actually go. He often tells me to "watch out for that car" and "go faster!" Even though there isn't really a car to watch out for; his "help" can be very distracting. Here is some photos of Caleb painting. He is very proud of his artwork. Caleb has recently discovered my freckles. "What's that mom", I informed him they were Angel kisses, "Angels?" I told him they lived with Jesus, since he's more familiar with Jesus. A few days later he pointed out my freckles to Greg and told him these were "Jesus kisses". That works for me!

Caleb and Mommy's Day

Caleb and I had a busy day off today. We started with another trip to Bonkers with our neighbors, Donna and Andrew. The boys had a really good time as usual. After Bonkers, we all headed for lunch at Chick-fil-a. That's always challenging when 2 and 3 year olds are involved, but they did pretty good. I asked Caleb not to talk with his mouth full which later back fired on me. When I asked him to respond with yes ma'am to something he said, he took a large bite and, with his mouth full, said "I can't talk mommy, I have food in my mouth." Such a wise guy! Of course the boys felt they needed to play in the play area there as well. That gave Donna and I a chance for some girl talk. Then I let Caleb nap for an hour on our way over to Shae's house. There he enjoyed playing with Trae Trae and Dakota. We had to run a few errands on our way home and then it was time to make dinner. After such a long day, I should have expected the melt down that followed. When I came in from my run, Caleb and daddy were in a mini-war over eating dinner. Caleb was really uncontrollable. We finally had to put him in his bed and let him cry it out, but then he still remained pretty difficult. We skipped books and went straight to bed after bath. What an exhausting day! Here are some pictures of Caleb "fixing" the coffee table at Dad's request. He worked on it for a good 10 min; he takes his jobs seriously.

To Grandmother's House We Go

We went home for a quick weekend with the family. My sisters and our families try to meet up every few months at Mom's so we can catch up and hang out for a few days. Caleb was so excited to go to Grandma's. The day we left he woke up saying " I awake mommy, we go to grandma's. It's not tomorrow mommy, it's today." He really enjoyed playing with his cousins, Logan and Dylan. There were several head butting moments, but usually they played well together. Dylan demanded a dance off again telling his mommy and grandma to "get up" so they could dance. He definitely out did them. Daddy took Caleb out on the four wheeler. My sisters and mom were able to catch up on our new lives, all of us have changed jobs in the last few months. Greg and Uncle Rhett got to go have some guy time, I'm not sure what they did exactly. The weekend went by too quick, but we all had a good time. Caleb was not happy with us leaving, " I go back to grandma's house!" was repeated several times on the way home.
